Download PostgreSQL

Download PostgreSQL from the Postgresapp.

1. Visit the postgresapp homepage and download the latest version of Postgres.app
2. Open the downloaded file and drag it into your applications folder
3. Open your applications and open the app
   • If you get a message around “‘Postgres’ can’t be opened because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed.”, make sure that you are opening the app from inside your applications folder.
4. Once the app opens, click “Initialize”
5. Install the CLI tools

Install Chrome

If you are currently using another browser, download and install Chrome here. This will make it so that we can share shortcuts and have a consistent experience when debugging together as a class.
